Shot from a 280 AI and recovered both bullets at 100 yards in the 5th water jug.
MV 3000 fps
#1 weighs 102.9 grs and .659" diameter.
#2 weighs 101.1 grs and .650" diameter.
I'm going to hunt WT deer with this bullet this fall. Should be a good one.

I haven't kept up with things much the past couple years...I didn't know they were making the BT in 160 grains...I like it.

Well I tested the 7mm 160 gr BT on a big doe and was impressed with the results. The 280AI is pushing the bullet at 3000 fps. The shot was about 60 yards and she dropped in her tracks at the shot. The lungs were jelled and all but the bottom portion of the heart was gone. The bullet exited through the off side shoulder leaving an exit hole about the size of a nickel.
I will try again next summer on crop damage deer but I'm sure the terminal performance will be the same.

Looks as if it worked to perfection, Jim. She'll make some fine dining for you.
