Has anyone ever tried Retumbo with 140gr bullets? Just curious if it would work or too slow.

Retumbo is too slow for 140 gr bullets in the 7mm Rem Mag. It would work with 175-180 gr bullets.
I had excellent results with RL22 and 140 gr bullets.

It's too slow to use light bullets for the big 7, I have used 160 Accubonds with Retumbo. Mostly used RL22 from 140-160 grain bullets.

Never used any Retumbo but I shot RL22 and IMR-4831with either a 140 gr Partition or 140 gr BT in my 7 mag with outstanding results for many years. For whatever reason I eventually started using the 150 gr Ballistic Tip with stellar results as well.

Consider Ramshot Grand. It's fairly new on the scene but works well and is generally available.

Retumbo works well with the heavier bullets though.

SBHD, Grand, and 1000 would suit you well with the 140s. I think SBHD would be my pick.

You have really taken a liking to this powder! I have 1lb on my shelf. My plan is to shoot it soon while it's cold out, then again as it starts to warm, and one more time this summer. I really want to see that swing. A lot of people speak highly of it, you can't ignore that.
