I have been sitting on this load for awhile. Initial results looked decent, but again, nothing was really consistent in accuracy. I am running 70.5 grains of RL25, WW cases and CCI250's. I tried running them long, but they would shoot decent, then shoot like crap!

So, I just started pushing them back. All of these are at 200 yards.

2.960" - 3049, 3125, 3073

2.935" - 3064, 3125, 3052 ----- Shot #3 must've went over the target. Kinda stinks as it could have just barely went over or 5" over?

2.910" - 3078, 3095, 3077

2.885" - 3123, 3068, 3039

2.860" - 3103, 3074, 3055

Seems like they wanna be shorter? I could use some feedback on this one. These bullets are running me through the ringer. I shouldn't be messing with them as the 160AB's with RL22 will shoot into an 1" at 200, but I can't help myself. It would make a really sweet longer range load if I could work it out some more. I believe the loads sits in the 3050 range. Wasn't a perfect day for chronoing. Everytime I brought the 7mm WSM out, the sun started doing weird things..

Does seem a tad disappointing after results with the other rifles. Still, there is nothing wrong with the 160 grain AB. Admittedly, in my 7 WSM I've only taken mule deer and whitetails. However, I have no doubt that it will work well for about anything else in my AO.

Scotty,

Take a look at the 150 gr ABLR's

Well said, David; well said, indeed.

Scotty,
2.885 and 2.860 are MOA or less. I think your close. If it were my rifle I'd play with smaller incremental changes in depth and powder charge...... just not at the same time.

I started this months ago and it is really hard for me to stop till I have something I like. I will try a couple more increments around 2.860 and see what happens. It seems like it's close and if I could get it to print a little better it would make an incredible long range load. If not, well, I'll just go back to schlubbing 160's at 3100 and be happy!
