Does anyone load the 150gr Sierra MK in 7mmRM? If so, please let me know how they do and what to use. A friend gave me some to try, but I don't usually load Sierras so I don't have a load manual for them. I've got RL-22, IMR-4350, and RL-19 so if one of those powders work that would be a bonus, but I can get something else if need be. I would think that 4350 would work, but I'd like to hear from some one who's shot them to get a little more insight.

I would look it up for you, but my books are in Va and I am in AFG! Check out the Hodgdon site and see what they have listed for the 150gr PT. Loads should be similar enough to get you started. Scotty

The Sierra 4th edition gives this data for the 150 gr bullets in the 7 Rem mag.
IMR 4350 start 53.8 Max 62.2 grs. They list this as the accuracy load 60.1 grs IMR 4350

The Sierra 5th edition list this data for the 150 gr bullets in the 7 rem mag.
RE-19 Start 58.6 Max 62.8 grs

RE-22 start 62.0 Max 64.5 grs They list this as the hunting load RE-22 64.5 grs. They also warn that the DON NOT recommend MatchKing bullets for hunting applications.

1SHOT is right. My load all book for the 7MAG shows the same loads for IMR 4350 and RL10. I have 100 or so of Sierra 150 grain bullets that I plan to load later with Hodgdons Hybrid 100 powder. In the past I have loaded 140 grain Sierra's using IMR 4350 powder--63.4 gr. at 3200FPS. Sierra,Nosler,Speer and Hornady all shoot well in my Savage model 110 bolt. The Sierra 150grain you plan to load should do a good job for you.

Thanks, fella's. I took a chance and went with IMR-4350. I started @ 59gr, shot three into .912", then shot three more @60gr that did pretty good. The rifle can shoot better so I'll keep on playing with it. It seems to be on the right track, though.

here's my 60gr group

sorry for the crappy pic, it was with my phone. The group measured .500" ctc. I'll post some more with my camera.

the details are:
.014" off lands
CCI primers
R-P brass
2904fps avg.
13 ES
6 SD

Nice, it looks like it is getting there! Great shooting! Never used either of the 4350's in a 7 mag, but those seem to be pretty popular lately! Scotty
