I'm planning on using this bullet around 3Kfps. Coyotes, rock plinking, etc. I "might, some day" use it on Texas deer, small exotics. I have read of one gent that uses 40gr/3031 for every weight in his 7x57, from 140-175! It just got me to wondering, I have some that I could use up for this bullet...any help? I also have some Hornady 120Vmax...could I use the same charges or close? Thanks QL Giants! :)

From the Hodgdon load data center...no you can't use 40gr of 3031 for everything from 120-175! 40gr is about right for 120gr.

Thanks des-I checked over there too, seems 42gr is tops. I guess the gent who uses 40gr for every 140-175 bullet is happy with his method, ha, I'm too much of an experimenter to settle like that. :)
I'm just gonna follow my load books (maybe 7mm/08 data) for the 120s in this 7x57. I don't see where anything over 3K will really gain me anything more for what I want it to do, as far as I want it to do it, ha. I like to shoot coyotes "chest on" with a fast expander and watch them kinda "puff up" when they're hit. :)!!
