Took mom to the farm to punch a doe tag. She was using her Model 7 in 243 that she got when her dad passed 20yrs ago. Had a nice 1.5-2yr old doe made the mistake of coming withing 60yds of the blind and stopped broadside. Mom made a good shot and I watched the doe run 50yds down the middle of the field and cartwheel when she went down.

It was Federal factory ammo so not real sure of the MV but it did a number on the doe. Turned her into some great summer sausage for the family.

Looks as if that factory ammo worked to perfection. There appears to be quite a bit of lung tissue in the leaf litter.

Ya, that 95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip is a favorite for sure. Accurate and lethal.
