I've had a Chrony F1 for many years ... it's been shot & repaired a few times by 'friends' who really knew how to shoot better than they did when using my kit...ah well, what can you do?
Now it's been shot and finished & I'm about to buy a new one..haven't yet decided on another Chrony, ProChrono or Caldwell...nothing too lavish.
But here's the question. I usually set the chrono up on a tripod as near to eight feet from the muzzle as I can measure...but is that the right distance?
Do other users set the chrono further away, or closer, or do I have it about right?
Cheers, ET
