A Week from Today.

Well I have 7 days to get 20 days work done . We are to leave next Friday for 10 days of Elk hunting.
I will be putting in some long hours in the man cave and at the range it is a tedious job but someone has to do it :roll: :mrgreen:.
Sure hope the weather changes as temperature again is around 30C=86F and forecast is for above seasonal until end of October .
Just too warm up north and movement has been minimal.
But the animal is just the bonus and I know that we will be having a great time.
I will take photos and somehow get them on the forum (Thanks Mike) :shock:.

Scotty the little lady is going to be used :mrgreen:. I was told that my stock for my 280 AI was @ border with the broker. Was advised that I would be contacted when RMR receives it. I can't understand why it would take over 2 weeks to clear but I am not going to worry about it. The Whelen with 225gr. ABs is more than a capable replacement :wink:.

Well guys day 4 no animals weather has been great if you were on a vacation in Mexico temps have been high twenties Celius. Today is cooler & raining lightly we have permission in a area for tomorrow night that looks very promising. Will keep reporting :wink:.

We struggled through warm weather for almost a month, Dan. It has finally cooled. This morning was only 3 C, rising to only 12 C at the moment. Keep after them.

Well it only happens here :shock: temperature has fallen by 20C and they are talking a low of 0 tonight. We went & scouted the area this morning after breakfast. The area looks very promising. The person that owns the property believes we will have a better chance in the morning by stationing ourselves along the forest edge waiting for the animals to come back in from the fields.
I hope sudden change in weather may loosen up the jaws of a bull or 2.
Been advised when bulls are not talking to try the cow call so that is the plan.

I am shooting 225 ABs over top of 60grs. of Reloader 15. I believe they are around 2750fps give or take a few fps. I have about a dozen deer playing in the pea field infront of me :mrgreen:.
Sure hope a couple of Elk join them this evening .
