Accubond results on Bear

Shot this bear last week with my 375 Ruger and a 260 Gr. AccuBond bullet. Range was 35 yards quartering towards me. Hit it between shoulder and neck down thru the lungs , liver and out just ahead of the hip. The bullet was wadded up in the hide and fell out as we skinned it. it weighed 166 gr. that's about 64% weight retention. Like many other Accubonds I have recovered it held together. The bear weighed 235 lbs.

Congrats on a nice looking bear, should make some fine eating. That bullet had a rough ride hitting all that heavy bone and still went far. Bet he went down hard and fast with a hit like that.....

Gerry , he did go down hard , the rifle cracked he went down and I never saw him twitch or heard him make a sound he was out before he hit the ground very impressive.
