Just thought I'd give you all a heads up on what I've got goin on this sunday..........
I've got 110grain AB's flyin at 3220fps out of my 25-06.
Sunday morning I'm gonna take a pig.... 300-400lbs and probably within 100 yards!!!!
This will be the final word on this bullet, it will either pass or fail!
Any bets???????
I think it will do fine as long as it stays off the shoulder!

try to find the bullette if you can you may see it comes apart if it shoots anything like the 30 cal acubond

I shot an elk at 30 yds @ 3100fps it didn't come apart. I bet yours won't. It will shed weight but I bet you'll find at least 50% with a shoulder shot but probably won't find the bullet or serious blood shot meat if you make a heart lung shot. I'm a believer.
Good Hunting!

Im very interested in your findings as well. I push them at 3085fps out of my 25-06. Was thinking of using them on spike elk this year. I bet a shoulder shot will anchor them, but might not make it all the way through since the impact veocity is still quite high at 100 yards or less. I bet they fully pass on a behind the shoulder shot though. AB's from my testing, seem to hold every bit of weight as a Partition, about 60-65%, thats all a Partition gives you. Let us know how it does for sure, and good luck!!

ok heres the scoop!
the pig on the right is my buddies.... he used a 165 gr BT out of his 30-06 at about 120 yards.... 1" hole goin in 3" hole goin out, massive lung trauma, pig went 50 yards.
my pig was quartered to me at 80 yards...... .257" hole going in through shoulder complete distruction of vitals! .257" hole goin out.... must have been some left of the inner core to exit?????? If the vitals wouldnt have been so munched, I would say the bullet didnt expand at all. But the lungs were seriously hamburger! DTR

what's your thoughts????????

What more could you ask for? Pig dropped, bullet exited. Good bullet, great shot. I'm still undeciding on what bullet to actually use on a spike elk. I have 100g partitions, and 110g AB's, but was maybe thinking of the 115g Partition. I dont know, I will probly just end up taking my 300 RUM with 200g AB anyways, never know how far my only chance at an elk that season will present itself. I like to be ready for a 800 yard shot on elk, I wouldn't take that shot with my 25-06, then Id be pissed that I didn't bring my RUM. Congrats on your kill, and nice pic!

257 in and 257 out ???

Entrance wound bullet diameter, bullet expanded as intended & mushed the vitals, tough armor gristle on pig sheered the petals off the bullet and it then exited. What's the problem?!

Same scenerio on the 30 yard elk. The bullet sheds weight to transfer energy, thus the shredded lungs, but doesnt blow up, thus the small exit hole. I'll bet if you found the bullet it's about 60% retention and about 25% expansion. It'a really hard to believe how consistant they are. They never shed petals like a Barnes and become origional caliber solids in my experience. The skin will expand some and shrink back ifit's not shotgunned with shrappnel. Nice pigs!

There is no problem.... I just wish I knew for sure what the bullet did.
Greg Nolan's theory sounds good to me.... I'd like to shoot something light like a coyote to test this further.. but at that range and velocity I am excited at the performance!!!

Chet,

Congrats on the hogs. Sounds like the AB performed perfectly.
