Alaskan baited grizzly hunting

Well, first season baiting has been legal in the area I guide. I figured it'd be easy peazy. I was wrong. Took a week of learning curve to figure these Bears out! Second hunt we had it dialed in. Shot two 9' grizzly three hours apart on the second night. We did loose the second one and not recover him. Heart breaking in its own right. Figured I'd share with you guys!

Thanks for sharing, sometimes the best laid plans can go south and obviously the one that got away wasn't hit hard enough to stop him and will probably survive the summer. Just hope he isn't hurt bad enough that he can't hunt for food but then again he might return to your bait for an easy meal.

Big bear, well done. Funny thing about easy peasy, been there done that. Sucks to loose an animal, hunt long enough it can happen.
