Just starting to reload 223/5.56 and was going to use CFE223 based upon what reports from other shooters have said about the powder.

Sadly.... it has become very hard to find locally.

But I have located Alliant's AR-Comp powder. And did buy 2 pounds of it just in case.

Now....has anyone used this powder?

It is a short cut extruded powder made in Sweden. Claims to have a high tolerance to extreme conditions.

Just asking for more knowledge before I start pouring it into cases.

Never used it, but so far in my 22-250 CFE is awesome. I picked some up to get rid of the dirty 4198 I was using in my AR. Just haven't quite used all of it up yet. Velocities have been very good outta CFE and accuracy is also awesome plus it burns very clean hardly any tarnish on the case necks after firing.

I have tried a little of it.

Like you I picked it up because I couldn't find what I was looking for.. in my case Varget.

I'm at work right now so I don't have the loads in front of me but I did get good results from my AR with 55gr ballistic tips. One load was consistently sub moa.

I also used it in my 260 bolt with good results. It appears to be a tad hotter then Varget.
