Ouch, not real nice shooting weather at all.

I am going to try and hit the range here when the boy gets home from school, the past 2 days it has been sunny and mild, now today they say it may snow. :(

Just a mild breeze for Wyoming, Is the anchor chain straight out yet. ?? Warmer in Wyoming is anything above freezing !!

Windy as all get-out yesterday morning. Went to the range anyway. Heck, I was getting paid to set it up and run it, so of course I went.

The wind calmed down a bit and the sun showed up, and I thought I was home free regarding weather... Hah! A gust came through, picked up two of my target boards, tore them right off the steel frames and sent them sailing! Luckily they landed on our range property and I was able to go get them pretty easily.

Later, the wind calmed down quite a bit again. Running the range again today and tomorrow. Supposed to rain both days. Windy too. Ah well. Been wet before.

Shooting is good.

Regards, Guy

Pop, that sounds like a day to be shooting handguns, not rifles. At least when I shoot a bad group with a short gun, I can blame operator error, with a straight face.

Ah, Fotis, there's always a snake in paradise. There's always something to make our habitations less than perfect.

Hank,

You're warmer than we are in the True North (strong and free).

After over 20 straight days of rain, we finally have some sunny weather here in southern Oregon, clear skies and 73 degrees. It is in fact baseball season!

the boy is home from school but here on the east coast of Canada the wind is howling and sideways ice pellets, sounds like steady birdshot on the side of the house. I think we will pass today....... :?

North of the big city in Mn. 38 MPH gusts out of the morth and 40 degrees....still 4 inches of snow on the flat. Just got back from SD, Windy (as always) but no snow and 10 degrees warmer....no time to shoot. CL

Fotis,

That is brutal!
Rain and snow this weekend so I am hoping to get out next weekend, weather permitting. I can't get the cast wet.

If you shoot downwind you can pick up 50 FPS velocity on all your rifles.

And if you shoot into the wind, you lose 50 fps velocity.

Wind still gusting, snow blowing and -5C but we went anyway this morning. The Savage is a good one, POI from last weekend is the same, results were pretty much the same. 4 groups, one under 1/2", 2 under 3/4" and I flung a 5 shot group for sh!ts and giggles, 4 of them went into one hole at 1/4" but a flyer opened it up to just over and inch.

I feel your pain. 30-40 mph here with gusts of 50.

I was needing to spray some wheat today but that isn't happening. We could work on our pipe line project ( eight miles of 24",18", and 15" mainline) but I think there would be so much dirt blowin that the pipe soap would turn to mud before we could get a new stick put in.

Looks like I'll be getting a bunch of 338 WM Loads with 225 AB and Ramshot Hunter loaded up, then get things swithced over to the edge and start loading some 225 AB test loads with Magpro. Might have to load another 50 140 BTs for the 280 AI as well, been smoking a lot of yotes with it the last few weeks.
