Always wanted one of these.
Original Remington BDL Varmint in 6mm. 24" bull barrel. These were the accurate tack drivers from Remington's past.
Nothing like the stuff they mass produce today.

Anyway Comes with a Weaver Classic 4x16x42mm target scope a V-16 model with AO. Rifle is mint! And man these shoot!
I have been waiting for decades to snatch up one of these beauties. Great antelope gun (not that I needed another) and awesome coyote gun!

Guy I know you love the 6mm rem like I always have. Enjoy!

Lovely! A true grab. I should imagine that 6mmremington (David) will wilt when he reads this. Congratulations.

Thank you. I forgot about David!

Holy smokes! Great grab Fotis! That is the old school Remington's that we all know and love!

I am thinking having it as a dedicated Varmint gun.\

Nosler Ballistic Tip Varmint Bullet 70 gr at 3500-3600 fps or so. Accuracy #1 variable of this load.

Wow Fotis, 2 Remingtons in 2 weeks. We might turn you to the dark side yet. Nice find BTW.

Thank you

Notice they are "OLD" remmies!

Best rifle Remington ever made right there!

I've owned that exact same gun... bought mine unfired with a 7.5X Leupold on it for $400 (in 1999)... that rifle lasted over 4000 rounds and killed hundreds (like 500+) of coyotes. It shot everything well... 55s, 70s, 75s, 87s, 90s, 95s... you name it, it ran it in 1/2". Finally started to loose accuracy when the throat got so long I couldn't even reach it with an Amax... sold it down the road then. But, I kept the original stock... it now resides on my .243 (best stock Rem. ever made too).

You'll love that gun... and if you don't, there's a place in my safe for it!

What bullet do you suggest for a dedicated coyote gun Songdog?

How did you do on Sunday with that crappy weather?

My favorite bullet for coyotes in the 6mm Rem was the 55 NBT at pert'near 4100fps... or the 75 Vmax at 3500-3600. I shot quite a few with the 87 Vmax too... though I prefer the velocity (and corresponding trajectory) of the lighter projectiles. I'll look back through my data and see if I can find some of my old favorite loads. I know we shot about 46-49 grains of H4895 behind the 55s... and I think RE19 was the powder of choice for the 75s.

It was blowing a gale out there on Sunday... did a little more scouting and found a couple spots that look very productive. Glassed up two coyotes in a mile long draw... but ran out of cover at about the 500 yard mark... and that ain't a shot I'm looking to take in 30mph cross-winds!

Was thinking about heading back out this morning... but I have too much bookkeeping work to catch up on for my business... and another 20mph wind day (combined with the snow flurries) just didn't sound too appealing at 0600 this morning.

I am so sad I missed it. Parental duties you see!

There'll be plenty more days... just hopefully without the gale force winds! I'm planning on heading back out early next week... I'll let you know when I find out what the weather looks like. Unfortunately, in my line of business (roofing)... I only get days off when the weather is crappy this time of year. We'll make it happen this year though!

Nice rifle, Fotis! That one, and a .222 just like it are my holy grail of varmint rifles in a 700.

Great looking rifle. I recently bought one of the older 700 BDL's just like that chambered in 7mm Express. Been looking for one for a while and couldn't pass it up.

Thank you should be here in less than 7 days. Counting down!
