Okay Fotis you knew I would see this eventually and have to comment! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: That is a very nice find. My dad snagged one of those just like that a few years ago. He loves it. He too shot a cow elk with his just a few years ago! Very nice rifle!!

I bet either the 80 or 90 gr. Ballistic tip would make a great coyote round. The 90 gr. going 3300 fps with a higher BC than the 80 gr. by quite a bit might be a sweet one! I need to shoot one with my son's load with the 90 gr. E-tip. That trumps the BC of the Ballistic tip by quite a margin and with the construction of the bullet I bet it would be gentle on hides, well at least as gentle as 3140-3160 fps out of my son's rifle is!

I am using H100V in his load and it seems to work very well.

44.5 grs H100V, 2.840 OAL, Winchester brass, Federal 210 primer ( I like the match primer best)

Nice find! A beautiful stock, too. Of all the cartridges Remington has introduced, the ones they flubbed may have been some of the best. This is just one example.

I recently bought one of the older 700 BDL's just like that chambered in 7mm Express.

Way Cool!!!
My buddy has this exact gun dropped into a HS-Precision stock and adjusted the trigger down. A VariX - III 4.5x14 w/ fine duplex sits on top and I have seen this gun off the bench w/ 70 BTs shoot 5 shots into one hole many times. Even I did it once with this gun.

It's funny ... but while trying to work up loads to shoot in other guns, we'll grab this gun and make a tiny group / hole just to "Makes us Feel BETTER". OK we're men again.... we can go home. :wink:

If I would have run across this, it definatly wuold be home with me!!!
