I just purchased a Tikka T3X Lite 30-06 dialed it in with 165gr BT so far every time I shoot a group with it it’s moa or better… Thinking about trying some 130gr Barnes TTSX in it this fall’s

The 325WSM is in my possession. It needs cleaned up and a little TLC, but looking forward to the project in the cold days of winter. It came with about 70 rounds of brass and a set of dies. I will give the once over and then post a pic or two.

A little update as to the progress of the 325 WSM. I broke it all the way down, swabbed the barrel and cleaned up the exterior. I have a new Timney trigger( I am not loving the accutrigger) on order, along with some new bases( came with a 25 MOA Pic rail). Next steps are to look for an aftermarket stock, as this a left handed Savage model 16( like I said, I got a deal). H-S Precision is out as they do not make stocks for this model. I am looking at a Boyd's and pillar bed it. The second option may be a MDT Chassis stock, but need to call them regarding some specifics. One small issue is that the rifle is a center feed hinge mag with a capacity of 2. Not a deal breaker, but an opportunity.
All of the brass has been resized and tumbled.

I would love to hear from the group as to suggestions. I know I am limited due to the model and the fact that the rifle is LH. Thanks in advance.

A deer killer for sure. Working with those for my son’s 30-06. I run the 150s in mine.

I may hunt a little with it but honestly, as much as anything else, I liked the idea of a project and it was something different.
I have a handful of rifles I can hunt with but primarily for deer and antelope, I use 6.5X284. I think the 325 would be a great elk round.
While the cartridge is capable, long range(600+) target shooting would be down the list.

I'm not planning on anything at the moment but there are a few new interesting left hand rifles out this year. The CVA bolt gun is now coming in a lefty and Savage has a couple of new variants that are intriguing.

What I really would like to see is Weatherby offering an affordable LH option. Anything they offer right now is $3500-5000 on this side of the border. You can get 3 Tikka's for that. I hope they come out with a LH model 307, the builders action would be perfect for a project I have in mind.

I did see a Savage 99 the other day in 300 Savage. Not likely to buy it but if it's still there next time I go in I'll look at it again.

I happened on to a Seekins element in 7 PRC that I couldn’t resist. It’s just an outstanding rifle and very light. About a pound lighter than my havak 6.5 PRC

I don't have any needs for a practical rifle or pistol I would have a need for but (pause) I dang fer sure would like a Ruger Blackhawk in 357 convertible and a Winchester 70 Featherweight in 22-250. I think I' like a Leupold 6x scope on that rifle. This would be my Canis Latrans combo for hunting in the canyons.

Probably not going to buy anything this year. I have the opportunity to buy some land at a fantastic price..if my wife ever realizes what a deal it is. But I'm keeping my options open if the land doesn't happen.
