I wish I had the range for one, or even vast swaths of public to practice on.For those who like to practice. I bought 4", 6", 8" and a 12" for 90 bucks plus tax and shipping. Good deal.Dragon Targets

I plan to shoot those gongs from 500 yards and further out. I won't need to worry about any dings at that range except the ding sound.Good to know. I bought mine from a local metal fabrication company. They are AR500 10"x3/8" and have held up well.
Here is what I found...
So long as impact velocity is under 3000 fps, they hold up. The 22 Nosler has cratered the 100 yard gong. The 338 RUM 250 PT blew through the 100 yard gong as did the 416 Wby 350 gr MagTip. The 416 Wby put a divit in the 250 yard gong.

Nope. Sold the 416 Wby and replaced it with the a 375 H&H. The gongs have faired well with the 375, even with the 270 LRX at 100 yards.So.......Are you going to do that again???
That is "holy steel!"No
