It doesn`t offer anything I see that isn`t already available. The 260 beats it for velocity and the 6.5x47 is an established target cartridge. The Creedmore falls somewhere between the two. It`s slower then the 260 with equal bullet wgt and longer then I believe, the 6.5x47........Sort of like the .30 TC. Same-o same-o

Is great in the AR-10 platform because you can seat the bullet out further then in a .260 upper. Might hold true for a regular .308 length magazine in the 77.

It appeals to me in the Ar platform, not so much in the bolt action.

That is a pretty cool rifle. Has a 26 Inch barrel. I think the Creedmoor is pretty similar to the 260, but designed for the black AR rifles. Might be a really nice carrying rifle. Scotty

The 6.5 is like a gentle cool breeze that blows by every once in a while but as usual disappears, yet for the faithful even the delusional, don't fear it will blow buy again and again and again.

I think I am going to look for something in the 6.5 range for my daughters first rifle. I went with a 243 for my son but I think the daught will get a 6.5. Little more versatile and easily loaded down for a smaller stature girl. Nosler makes a pretty good selection of bullets that would cover her for tgt and then deer. Scotty
