Has anyone read Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting 2nd ed? http://www.appliedballisticsllc.com/ind ... s/Book.htm. I am interested in learning more about ballistics and found the book on the Berger web site. As a bonus it includes a CD that helps you develop drop charts etc. I would like to have a ballistics cd although I am not sure it would work with my Mac.

Excellent book! Easy to read and understand. Not filled with math formulas. The back of the book has BC's for alot of bullets the were tested out to 600 yds with acoustic chronograph.

I got the book when it was first published. A couple of blips in the first edition, but perhaps they've been corrected in later versions.

VERY useful for the long range shooter! Litz is not just an armchair writer, he's a real live long-range/precision shooter and it shows. He also knows his stuff about ballistics.

I wasn't that impressed with the info on the disc, but maybe my poor ol' computer isn't up to running it right. I've found that an online ballistics service (free) JBM Ballistics, gives me what I want for a drop chart - at least a start. I always confirm my drops at the range and in the field.

Good book. I recommend it for long range shooters.

This has been on my list to acquire for some months. Life has gotten in the way, however.

It's a good read.
The cd contains the program you can download from the Berger website with some additional features.
