Anybody watch this show? I watched one today that was a week or so old and I had it recorded on DVD. For those that don't know, this is one of the long range hunting shows.
Anyway they did a product review on the Nosler 7mm 168 gr. ABLR in 7mm mag., said they used this bullet last season and it was the best performing bullet they had ever used. Went on to show several recovered bullets and described where the animal was hit and the distance, up to 1100 yards. Said a good many were pass throughs.
Their opinion seemed quite high. If I go west again, and decide to take my old 7mag instead of the .300, I might just give these a try.
That is, if I can find some.

That can be seen on YouTube...or at least part of it...I saw it there a while back (the endorsement of the bullets)

Please don't take the wrong because I am a die hard nosler fan, but BOTW was kind of scrambling for sponsors/options once Gunwerks split up. Berger followed gunwerks and BOTW looks like it turned to Nosler. Sounds like a little sponsor advertising love...lol

OH MY!!!!

Burns found a better bullet than the cheesy-bergers?

Unbelievable.

Well, in fairness, the ABLR didn't exist years ago when Burns started promoting precision, long-range hunting. He did indeed have excellent results with the Berger VLD, as have others.

Regards, Guy

I know guy I just hate their inconsistency.

I don't really care about the politics of BOTW. What I'm really interested in is the Bullet. Is everyone in agreement with his assessment of the 168 gr. ABLR?
As an all round bullet how would this expand on whitetails under a hundred yards on out, or is it too tough for whitetails in general?
I assume it works great on mulies and elk?
It would be great to find one bullet to do everything.
