UPS delivered both my barreled actions tonight. One is a SA Remington with a new Stainless Heavy Hart barrel 26 inch chambered for the 308.
The other one is a Stainless LA. Remington 700 with a new match grade Shilen barrel 24 inch chambered for 280 ACK. IMP.
I just finished bedding the 308 in a HS Precision stock and put in up to cure. I'll bed the the 280 ACK. tomorrow in an Alaskan KS. mountain stock built by B&C. Both actions were Blue Printed by my gunsmith an are smooth as silk.
Life is good, very good. :grin: :grin:

I'll shoot Noslers Pt. or AB, I'm going to try several from 140 gr. to 175 gr. As for as powder i don't know, but I've got a good selection to choose from including RL 19 an RL 22. I may pick up a pound of RL. 25, it may work real good with the 175 Gr.

I like the 280 Ackley Improved and I believe it to be on of the best cartridges going. Really happy for you. :grin:

Pop, i got Varget, RL 15 an IMR 4064 , one of those will surely work.
4000 Federal 210M an plenty of Nosler and Win. brass.
I'll keep y'all posted on the progress. Got to have surgery on my right hand for Carpel Tunnel next month, hope I'm not down too long, I've got some serious testing to do.

Yup something about the 7mm's. After 20 years of shooting I rediscovered the 7mm rem mag and use it more than anything.
