I put a picture of my Fathers and My showroom in Upstate NY. They are a bunch of the animals we have taken since we have hunted together. I actually came across the 225gr Nosler Partitions' recovered from the bear. There was also a 300gr 375 bullet from the guide who put a finisher in the bear. I wasn't there for that hunt in 07 (Afghanistan). I wished I would have taken pictures of the Noslers and could post them for you all. They look perfect. The two shots from the 338 Win Mag were solid lung shots, and the 375 was actually a flank shot. Just a stubborn bear. It squared about 8.5 ft, not huge, but a trophy for us North Eastern Hunters. I was amazed how well the bullets held up through bone and dense muscle. My old man used my 338WM M70 Stainless Stalker for the brown bear, two elk, a Saskatchewan 6x6 Whitetail, and a few deer around the house. I bought it in 1995, and once I joined the Marine Corps, he took it for his big hunt, just because it shot so well, and really hammers game. He used his 30-06 for about everything else, with of course 180gr Nosler Partitions in the Federal Premium loads. The 338 loads were also Federal Premiums. Anyhow, if I can get my mother to take a couple pictures, I will post them up too. Scotty
PS... Don't make fun of the little caribou! It was my first one, and being a hunter from the NE, my guide only had enough time to say he was legal, and I shot him. My guide tried to tell me there were better, but being 17, I didn't care, it was a great trophy and excellent table fare! Scotty
