I can't seem to locate the ideal seating depth off of the lands for the nosler Pt and bt?
Keith

Keith, I treat the PT as though it was a cup-and-core bullet. One one-hundredth off the lands is a good point for the bullet. Generally, the close to the lands, the more accurate the load with these two bullets.

What cartridge?

What rifle?

What Load?

What Bullet?

What have to tried so far?

Keith, I'd echo what Mike is saying. Start up close or as close as you can to .010" from the rifling and once you have your ideal powder charge then tweak the bullet seating depth.

I'm not one for using factory ammo, but I do have a couple of boxes handy. They (Federal) have loaded their bullets with 0.120" distance from engaging the lands. More than I ever thought, so if the wind ever dies down, then I'll report on their ammo. I have several hand loads ready for testing and hope to have targets also.
