If I can get some help from the weather this weekend I might be able to get off my sprayer get some shooting done! Should also find out today if my wife and I got our spring bear tags! Her gun is ready to roll, mine need some fine tuning.

I have been doing some pretty extensive load work with my 338 WM over the last month. I have two loads that shoot right around MOA with the 225 AB.

74.5 RL-19
WLRM
Nosler brass
3.335"
2780 (seems slow?)

71 H4350
WLRM
Nosler brass
3.330"
2880 fps

I'm going to try some RL-17 in it this weekend to see how it works out. Would be very happy with a speed 2800 or over and better groups. I'm also going to try it out in my 280 AI with the 160 AB. Might get to the 140 BT as well, but I have a great shooting load with it already.

Also going to be trying out some of the new Nosler custom comp 6mm 107 gr bullets this weekend loaded with H1000.

I've tried rl17 in a 25-06 and 270win....... not impressed
I've yet to try it in 325wsm, but I'm doubting it will out perform IMR4350.

It'll be interesting to see how it does in the 280ai.

Interesting, your H 4350 load almost matches mine for my 338 Win Mag.

I load 71 grains of H 4350 behind a 225 Nosler Partition and sparked by a Fed 215M. I get identical velocties and great groups.

It impresses elk and wild hogs a lot!

Good luck with the load development Jake.
I am curiuos to learn your results with RL 17 in the 280 AI.

Should be interesting to see what develops with RL17 and the 225 AB in your 338 WM. Did your draw results come?

Well my wife and I both drew our bear tags! Can't wait for april to get here now.

RL-17 was not impressive in the 338 WM at all. Best group was about 2" and FPS were down around mid 2700s. I got preasure signs and got nowhere near the 2830 that they claimed. Looks like I'm sticking with the H4350 load. I won't get a chance to wrok with the 280 AI this weekend as I'm off th go spread fert on a bunch of hay fields.

Have a good weekend everybody!

That 338 load sounds like a great one. I don't think you will do much better! That sounds like the perfect all around load for the 338WM. Can't wait to start shooting mine a little more when I get home. I have a bunch of 250gr PT's loaded up, but haven't had a chance to get it on paper! Scotty
