I was at the Cabelas in Kansas City last week and got to drool over these. Pretty racy wood... if only they didn't have that flashy engraving on the floorplates! :twisted:

I really like the Cabelas 300 Win Mag's and the 270 Featherweights. That Cabelas 300 Win Mag with the 25" barrel and sights on it is just about as nice as it gets to my eyes. That 270 Featherweight is very slick too. I don't mind the engraving on the floorplate, I am sure it would wear off as I hunted it!!!

I am really like the new Model 70 Alaskan's alot. They are sweet with the combined Alaskan lines and the new way of building the M70's really makes them a nice looking player in my book..

I don't really mind the engraving, especially since it is on the floor plate.

Very nice looking rifles. I saw them at the Cabelas, Post Falls, Idaho. Also saw the .300 H&H Ruger Number One there - but it was awful shiny and bright. Still, they were all beautiful rifles.
