So, my boy needed a new scope for his 270win and I also had a 25-06 that hasnt had an optic on it for a few months.........
Cabelas had these on sale:
http://www.cabelas.com/riflescopes-cabe ... pe-1.shtml
Last week they had a 3-9x40 for $49 and the 4-14 was $79
Yes, I know they are meant for muzzleloaders......... However!!!! I'm sure I can make the BDC work for any caliber...... I just need to figure out how.... 8)
The literature that came with the scopes do not specify the MOA distance between the hash marks as I'd hoped....... Can I just set up a graph type target @ 100yds (with 1" squares) and simply count the number of squares? and then I can set up my ballistic map from there to get a good idea of where to zero these rifles.........
or is it gonna be more complicated than that?
I'm hoping for an approximate 200 yard zero, and then know about where these hash marks will be so we can be somewhat close on the paper when we verify....
thanks!!!
