CDL SF has arrived !!

Rem 700 CDL SF - 243 - 24"
Leupold VX3-CDS 4.5x14
Talley Base/Rings
HS-Precision Stock - Tan / Black Web

Now I need to get the rebates in - $100 from Rem and an extra dial from Leupold.

The two starting loads I'm going to work with are the 100gn PT and the 55gn BT. Both of these loads will be new for me.

I think this gun cost me new living room / dining room carpet - funny how that happens :shock:

Good for you. It is a fine looking rifle. Consequently, I've never bought a rifle that did not cost me thousands of dollars! The rifles were not necessarily expensive and scopes could be found at bargain prices; but carpet, dining room suites, living room furniture--it all adds up.

The rest of the story!!

Both my hunting / fishing buddies and I talked about getting new 243s ......... and after I "Pulled the Trigger" and bought one, a Rem XHR 243 was purchased by one of them and another CDL SF 243 was purchased by the other. Now that CDL SF is getting a HS Prec Thumbhole stock which is getting here tomorrow. The XHR is getting a new scope next week.
My son is getting a Nitrex TR Two 3x15x50 from "Santa" for his Howa 243 (that way I can get my VX3 2.5x8 back).

With the Holiday and work schedules - maybe this week end or next week end for sure we will break in the guns and get some shooting in.
I have ammo loaded for my son and a few diff loads ready for mine to try out. I'm going to prep about 50 cases tomorrow morn for one buddy to load up, so were getting ready.
