Was wondering if anyone had any load data for cfe 223 using the 7mmTCU and 120 or 140 grain bullets ?

That'd be one packed case.

Code:
Cartridge : 7 mm T/CU
Bullet : .284, 140, Nosler BalTip 28140
Useable Case Capaci: 27.997 grain H2O = 1.818 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 2.675 inch = 67.95 mm
Barrel Length : 22.0 inch = 558.8 mm
Powder : Hodgdon CFE223

Predicted data by increasing and decreasing the given charge,
incremented in steps of 1.0% of nominal charge.

Thank you Dr. Mike and yes sir it's going to be crowded in that case ...

Even though not a large capacity case, with that fill % and ball powder I d personally work up with a mag Primer. Just a thought. ....

DrMike,

How do you (or QL) deduce the "Useable [sic] Case Capacity"?

Knowing the case OAL, empty case case capacity, and catridge OAL (to bullet tip), I (or QL) still must know the bullet OAL in order to calculate usable (net) capacity. But Nosler does not publish their bullet lengths. In fact, I have called Nosler technical services and been refused a particular bullet's OAL as "proprietary information".

Would you happen to have a list of Nosler bullet lengths?

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks. I'd referred to that list years ago, but it was sparsely populated and at the time didn't list the bullet I was interested in. Glad to see it has been supported and is now more complete.

I stand corrected. Unlike a few years ago, I see Nosler now lists the bullet OAL on their product description page.
