I like your load for the 7-08 Mike. Might have to try some W760 myself. Working with RL19 right now, but your results look pretty good..

I have worked with RL-17 and W760 with my 7mm-08 and my most accurate loads in 120, 140, 150, and 160 has been W760

I have been resisting W760 in my 7X57 Mauser for awhile Mike. EVERYONE is screaming how good it is, so maybe I will break down and give it a try.. It seems to be the powder for the little 7's.

That software interface looks sharp! Especially with the ability to export to Excel. That's what attracted me to this unit when I was shopping for a chrony. It boiled down to me not wanting to carry a laptop to the range.

I've had such good results with Varget out of the 7mm-08 that it's hard to switch. My interest with W760 has been piqued of late as I try to find a solution for my 257Roberts. It always helps to know I can possibly use it in something else I load for.

Varget will not give you the velocities that W760 will give you in a 7mm-08 plus there is the added accuracy along with velocity, at least that how these two powders worked out for me.

You can export the info straight to Exel and save your data.

Not only save it, but sort and pivot table it six ways from Sunday!

This is on my list!

Go ahead talk me into it! :)

I'm getting ~2805fps using 43.0gr Varget with the 139gr Interlock out of two X7S rifles. Excellent WT round. One likes em long and one likes em at SAAMI OAL. They both have shot cloverleafs. Always sub-MOA when done right. I can push the load hotter but there's no need in my eyes and the owners of these rifles are both recoil sensitive.

It looks like W760 is definitely a nice powder for the heavier bullets though. The son of this father/son duo wants to hunt moose soon. Been thinking about a 150/160gr PT or 160 AB load for him.

Nice velocity good accuracy, but W760 gives me over 3050fps with 130gr and over 2900fps with 140gr and .269" with a 9 shot group with the 140gr.

You pushed me over the edge Mike. I just ordered the same setup from midway today. Hope I'm as happy with it as you are with yours :) . Thanks for the peer pressure

Good luck and take your time with it and follow the instructions and don't load your UBS drivers until you have loaded the soft ware. Good luck :)

Just received mine tonight. Took a little longer than I expected to get the USB drivers loaded but I am not very proficient with computers. Hope to get some readings with it in the morning

Sounds good, have a good time with it, you will have to get use to somethings and how the soft ware works on your computer but have fun.

I ran about 100 rounds of .22 LR across the chronograph today and a few rounds of 30-06 and 270 WSM. The unit worked flawlessly. At first I thought I had a dud. My .22 ammo was reading about 200 fps slower on the chrono than the boxes advertised. Then it dawned on me.....I was using my Buckmark pistol with a 5" barrel. DUH :!: I ran inside and grabbed my 10-22 and ran a few more rounds over it and they were within 25-70 fps of advertised velocity. I will say that the Federal 22 ammo was much more consistent than the Remminton stuff! Anyway so far so good! No errors, or skewed data. Great product!

Well, I am glad you did well also, cool, it is a lot of fun.

Yes it is FOTIS. It makes going to the range which was fun anyway a lot more fun and more productive in terms of data.
