After spending extensive time researching muzzleleoaders, I ordered the new CVA ACCURA IN 50 CAL. It is supposed shoot sub moa. I saw a load listed for this muzzleloader using a 245gr Powerbelt and 100gr of 777. I would like to use Nosler slug. Can anyone make a suggestion. Yes, I am new to the muzzle loader world. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have shot the Nosler .429" 250 gr PT for years. Always got a nice exit wound and a very dead deer. The last few years, I have been using the .451" 260 gr PT with the same results. I use 120 grs of loose 777 powder in my T/C Omega.

A couple of guys I know in CA use 110 to 120gns of Blackhorn 209 for their 50cal Omegas. I think they are shooting the 250gn Barnes TMZ or TEZ sabot/bullet combo.

My suggestion, try the 338gr powerbelts with 100grains of 777.
Shoots submoa in my CVA with iron sites.
In my experience the 338-348 range bullets shoot the best in it.

Not trying to highjack the thread, but are these muzzle loader bullets or .45 caliber bullets and using after market sabot?
