Finally made it out today. So here it goes.

7mm-08 100 grain Hornady hp at 3200 fps/H4895/.7" at 100 yds

123003.jpg

The regular load of 120 BT with RL15 did the usual cloverleaf at 100 yards at 3080 fps.

The 378 WBY with 260 Accubonds and rl 22

114 gr ---3080 fps and 2"
115 gr ---3140 fps and 1.5"

123006.jpg

Hornady 270 factory ran 1.25" at 3160 fps.

Now the 30-30 Marlin that the misses bought me for X-mas.
This is the epitomizing example of love/hate relationships between ammo/guns!!!!!!

With 170 gr Remington factory loads I could not break 3". They clocked at 2150 fps.

With 160 Lever evolution (2350 fps) she did about 1" at 100 yards

123004.jpg

Wind was picking up now so I moved the target at 50 yards.

This hole is a 3 shot group at 50 yards with factory federal 125 HP's at 2500 fps. WOW!!! The holes to the left are 223 cal from my AR 15.

123009.jpg

Now the 270 WBY Ultralight

130 Accubonds with RL22

73 gr at 3330 fps and 1/2" at 100 yards

123002.jpg

74 gr at 3405 fps and .8" at 100 yards.

123001.jpg

Lastly the 356 Winchester

220 grain Speer FP with 748 at 2300 fps and .7 at 50 yards

123007.jpg

Two different loads with Hornady FTX (lever evolution component bullets 200 grain with 748 and H335----both at 2340 or so . 2 groups at 50 yards basically two ragged holes. Lower hole in lower group is from another group.

Other than the 378 bee I am happy.

Those will do. Nothing like a day at the range.

Consequently, that's good velocity on the 356. Each of the rifles appears to be giving you good groups.

I will try H4831 in my 378 bee. RL22 did not fair out too well.

Interesting POP, as I have never got RL-22 to do well in any of the rifles I loaded for. So, I use my 5lb jug of RL-22 for break-in and scope sight-in loads on my new rifles.

I'm starting off with IMR-4350 for my 375 RUM 260AB & 300AB/PT loads.

The 375 rum begs for IMR 7828!

270 tsx and 99 grains 7828.......2970 fps and well under an inch.

My best friend's rifle, my load workup.

In addition to IMR4350, I have H4350, H4831SC, IMR4831, IMR7828SSC, H414, and H100 for developing a load the 375RUM. The bullets I'm loading are 260AB, 270 TSX (so I can shoot a hog in CA), 300AB & PT.

Pop,

Nice results!
You have a few shooters for sure!

JD338

But I will fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

POP, consider the recoil yet you shot a fair group, the size game you will shoot with that load, you ain't going to miss, it will be dead. Of course you might have my sickness, "GOT TO GET IT JUST RIGHT", I would give it a technical name but did not want to embarrass myself.

POP,

Great to see you finally got out to pull the trigger a little. That was a lot of shooting... a lot of sucessful shooting ! Congrats !

Yup that is how I am also.
Maybe some seating variations or some different powders.

I tried Rl 22 with 180 grn Accubonds and Ballistic Tips in a 300 wby. That produced shotgun patterns. IMR 4831 produced alot better groups. RL22 does great in a 280 I load for now and then.

JT.

I will try to vary seating lengths with the 260 AB's. Also I have the 300 AB's 270 TSX and 270 Hornady SP's. Got a couple of elk with the Hornady 270 back in 1995/1996.
