I just finished loading 12 rounds of 200 grain AB's for my .30-06. I reached in the box for rounds #13 and #14 and found two projectiles with a large hollowpoint point with a piece of white polymer inside the cavity. I inspected the rest of the box and found two more bullets with smaller (than the remaining bullets) polymer tips. Additionally, the weight of the remaining bullets was inconsistent. Nosler prides itself on consistency, yet this is (at least) a 1% defective rate. That's high by anyone's standards. Has anyone else had this issue with Nosler Accubonds? How common is it. I plan to call Nosler tomorrow (Monday) to let the, know.

sniper208,

Make sure you give them the date code off the box.
I'm sure Nosler will make good on the problem.

This is not the first I've heard of this, but to JD's point, the few times I have heard it, Nosler has stepped up and made it right. Probably one lot of bullets got screwy and yours and the others I've heard of are all from the same lot. One of these days I'm going to remember to write down crap like that...

Nosler hits another home run!!!!!!! I called Nosler this morning and learned there was a breakdown in the manufacturing process and will send a new box of 200 AB's! Thanks foryour replies guys...

As you know, when you manufacture a product, something can go wrong with the material, the process, the people involves, shopping carriers, etc.
How that company responds and the customer service involved is what makes the difference to the customer.
Nosler is a first class company!
Happy to hear that you were taken care of in a prompt and professional way.

I just opened a box of 30cal 165 AB's that I bought months ago and to my suprise they are defective. The tips are powdery and the jackets are corroded with heat.
This is the first time in 10 or more boxes.
Do I take them back and exchange them or call Nosler?

Old Top - I called Nosler this morning and (in this order) received an honest apology, I was told what happened, how it happened and was told I would receive a replacement BOX of the Accubonds! JD hit it on the head - defects can occur in any process. The mark of a good company is how its customer service handles customer concerns. Nosler is and will remain #1 with me, though Hornady has treated me pretty well too.

Be sure to give Nosler the label information on the white sticker on the bottom of the box. Don't waste your time with your local dealer. Contact Nosler direct.
