Jmad_81 and I went out looking for coyotes last night and he was pleasantly rewarded with this young dog that I spotted for him. Stopped broadside about 100 yards and he wacked him with his R-15 .223 w/40g nbt's.

Later on, he returned the favor and spotted one for me. This one was probly 200-250. He took off running but stopped and looked back. I held my 25-06 a bit over his back and touched off. Clean miss! Only shot I got to! I missed one about 2 weeks back on his place just sitting about 150 yards with my dads 25-06 to. Dang coyotes are getting lucky lately!!

All in all, great fun. Cant wait for big game season to end so we cant start hitting them hard every weekend!!

Remmy,

You better check your zero, you never miss!

Congratulations to both you and Jmad_81.

Nice!

You know I have never shot one! Every time I had a chance I bowed out to someone else.

Oh man POP! You gotta be kidding me? You haven't shot not one coyote?? You truly are missing out on some of the greatest fun you can have outdoors. Theres plenty of them in WY, you should get out and save a few fawns...

Nice Job you two.....

Something about those yotes... they will be one of the last creatures on earth... a bug & yote fighting over the last scap of food.

We have a pile of them here running around in the neighborhood. Darn things cut loose a howling constantaly.. they know they are tormenting me
December fast approaches and time to start chasing-em!!

Your picture is simulating me to think about loading up some 120 grain BTs in my 280 and spending some time coyote and wolf hunting this winter. I am certainly running into a lot of wolf sign in the bush, and the prints indicate some real bruisers. The coyotes I have seen are fat, so they must be feeding well on fawns, rabbits and grouse.

Had a chance at another one this morning in the same spot! He was running and I was being picky and waiting for a standing shot...never happened. Guess I need to remember that I'm hunting with an AR for 20 reasons!

Two more weeks and the big game seasons are over for Remingtonman and myself, you guys will be seeing alot more pics like this! The dang things are all over around here. I've taken 22 in the last year, all on our place and it seems that I have not made a dent, guess that means we need to try harder

Pop, don't start coyote hunting....you will never get another nights sleep. It is far too addicting for me to suggest anybody go out and do!!!!

Remi- Great looking coyote...I've missed my share of coyotes....most embarrassing, I was walking past a barn and walked right into a coyote at about 10 yards....yup, 10 yards and I missed with my .25-06.

My hunting buddy always does a coyote hunt before his Africa trips with the rifles he will be using. Last time it was with his .375 H&H, he got 3 coyotes. Next time will be with his .458 Lott.

This coyote was foolish enough to hang around 100m from my brother and I. 7STW, 160Accubond @3000FPS.

That will do it every time!

We should start a thread for nothing but song dog pics this winter! Bet we get a bunch of them.

The exit hole is pretty low, but we were on a decent hill, the entrance is 4 inches above the center of the ribs. I was a bit suprised that I hit dead on point of aim, the rifle is sighted for 250yds and it was at a fair angle.
I expected an inch or two lower.

Here in Sask. we have a large number of dogs and on Saturday before our Muley hunt started we used my new CZ American (204). We got 2 but should have had a couple more.
I have heard people say that they get up to 30% of the hatch for upland birds, I am not sure how many young deer they get.

Blessings,
Dan
