Down 65 lbs. goal reached

i credit fasting with most of my success. I usually did my eating between noon and 8 pm then didn't eat again until noon the next day. The times are not as important as long as you fast for 16 hours. most get all their calories consumed in 8 hours and then fast for 16. I chose my times because I've never been a breakfast eater, anyway. Anything with calories, no matter how small, will kick you out of the fasting. LOTS OF WATER! and staying busy..If i plop down in front of the TV, I want to eat, so I just kept busy with hobbies or chores. You'll have to figure the calorie intake that works for you. I also liked to use an app on my phone to enter my meals/snacks. That made it easy to track calories and plan for your meals. I tried to keep with "healthy" foods, but every now and then, if I wanted a Snickers bar, I ate it and just counted it in my total. Wild game is your friend.
Thank you for the insight. Glad to hear it worked for you.

you have more will power than i do and glad for you! i'm about 5'9" and weighed 225 for decades. i've lost 35# due to pain keeping me from eating.............i'd rather be overweight than live the way i'm right now! i used to be able too workout when i had the time, but baling alfalfa takes a lot of time and work. my workouts came in the form of moving 100# bales, climbing up and down equipment and lifting heavy parts, but to no avail no weight loss.

I have done this before, and it was very effective. Thank you for mentioning water - you NEED to remain fully hydrated and if you are eating increased protein, you need the additional water for digestion.

Congratulations! You've done very well, and I encourage you to keep it up.
