Ever see one of these?

Scotty, I have a 240 Bee that I really like but once that barrel goes south I want to replace it with either a 6-06 or this 6-280AI. 6-06 makes most financial sense but this 6-280 AI has impressed the heck out of me.

All those big 6 s are addictive!

Another vote for a 240 Gibbs or 6-06 AI...I've got a 240 WBY which is pretty close case capacity wise. When it goes south, I will be doing a 6-06 with a 26" Bartlein 8 twist and shoot the 105-108s for a sweet LR dog rifle. Little overbore, but fun :)

Weatherby started running a 7.5 twist on their 240’s. Almost makes it tough to build one for what a Vanguard with a McMillan would cost. Granted brass isn’t cheap but unless you’re shooting 100’s it’s not a bad way to roll.

I’ve got an extra LA 700 and a Shrike stock waiting for my next hair brained idea..

I wish my vanguard was a 7.5/8 twist...Stuck with a 10 twist and 87g Vmaxs now :( Not the greatest for LR, but still whops out to 600 yards.

Would make a pretty nice coyote/antelope rifle with the 105gr-110gr 6mm bullets. Even the 90gr E-tip could be interesting. 1000 round barrel life still makes for a lot of dead critters!

Remingtonman, my Vanguard is a 10 twist and I can shoot and stabilize 105 gr AMaxes with R26 out of that 24" barrel.

I ll need to look up the new 7.5 twist Vanguard as Scotties right, can't build one for the same cost!
