I forget about you being close to me , and knowing the Grice family . maybe you knew Dave . when standing at the front register , look up at the left corner of the door . by where the primers are kept . there was a target or three hanging there . these are from the Dave I mention . Dave has been gone probably 8 or 10 years now .My experience with the fusion line up has been all positive, both the regular line and the tipped line. I would not hesitate to try them in anything I shoot today and have done a few reloads with them as a component. The bang for the buck certainly is in your favor with these.
So im really curious about how so many reviews iv seen where people have said thay had small entry and exit wounds . Why would or what would cause that ? Maby the bullet needs certain speed to open ?Here's a video from a guy that test different bullets. I watch him from time to time.
Dang , yeah id say lolOver the years I’ve purchased Fusion overruns from RMR. I have them in 22 , 257 , and 7mm. They are the same as the Speer Gold Dots. They’ve all shot exceptional. Last ones I’ve shot were the 65gr in my 224 Wby.

Wow good to hear . Yeah i try not to take them to seriously lol I have sst I want to try alsoWhen I have used them, the exit wounds have NOT been small.
Entry wounds are caliber sized, as expected with almost any bullet.
Internet reports should always be taken with a large grain of salt.
Give the Fusions a try.
I think a lot of internet turbulence is from ….When I have used them, the exit wounds have NOT been small.

I agree. Im sure theres 1 story thats changed about 20 times before being put in a online fourm ..I think a lot of internet turbulence is from ….
My buddy’s cousin’s nephews neighbor knows a guy at the club who’s second cousin’s friend at the gun shop heard a story about….
That’s how the Nosler BTstarted out.

Years back I loaded some 120gr Fusion over IMR4350 for my brother’s 25-06 and I can say for sure they make a hole in deer.So im really curious about how so many reviews iv seen where people have said thay had small entry and exit wounds . Why would or what would cause that ? Maby the bullet needs certain speed to open ?

I have a hundred of the 150gr sst im gonna try . Was debating if I should get a small base die or not . The load data is ehat im having a hard time deciding on . Whether or not if I want to use Hornady load data or someone else's. I want to use vargetThe SST is one of my favorite bullets. The early years of the SST are kinda like the early years of the Nosler Ballistic Tip, cussed, discussed and often maligned.
However, just like Nosler, Hornady made some slight adjustments to the SST and its a really great bullet today.
As with any cup and core style bullet they do have a performance window to be used in and when used outside this window very bad things happen, but as with most things its easier to blame the bullet that the loose nut behind the trigger
Yeah that is true . Could ve like the barns or burger bullet does. lot of international shock but leaves small holes .keep in mind the animal hide is elastic . it can stretch and shrink back to normal . "IF" the bullet , expanded , and held together , it could look like a small entry , and exit . "IF" the bullet came apart , it would look a lot more damaging , with a big gaping exit hole .
Id say it worked pretty good ! . Im thinkimg all the people saying it leaves small holes are not paying attention to the internals like someone stated before it may be doing a lot of internal shock and damage it just exits smallSo, I found a pic from the last deer I took w/ a 140g Fusion. My shot went through the heart and created an exit found in the pic. The off-side hide had a hole not quite as large, but standard for this bullet (which is larger than anything else I have used). Again, the expansion never failed and this bullet was quite accurate in my rifle.
