It has been a while since I'd had a good beef steak... Local market had some... filet mignon, at a good price. So, I scooped 'em up, knowing my son would be eating with me last night.
The steaks were seasoned with salt, pepper, rosemary, then sealed up with butter & olive oil and immersed in the sous vide. Temp was set at 132 for 90 minutes, then they were seared in the cast iron skillet for a minute and a half, each side. YUM!
Along with the delicious & tender steaks we had red potatoes, cucumber and tomato. Mushrooms topped the steak, and a glass of red wine topped things off. Goodness!
