First Look: Remington 360 Buckhammer

It isn't a "bean field" cartridge but I think I would have room for a rifle chambered in it. I can see this as a great cartridge in a lever action, High Wall, Rolling Block, Falling Block, T/C Pro-Hunter, etc. for mid-West whitetail and black bear. I'm wondering if JES will add it to his re-boring offerings.

Think we've already got a couple of threads on this.

That said, it's not just the midwestern states. Mississippi and Louisiana have primitive seasons in which you can use 35 cal centerfire rifles with exposed hammers. I understand that CVAs in 35 Whelen have become popular for that purpose. Recognizing that, I think will find a good home there as well with people who don't like the Whelen's recoil.

I also want one. I think the wife would really appreciate having a 35 cal rifle of her own (beyond a 357, that is), and it seems to me plenty enough for anything she'd want to hunt with it - deer, bear, lion... Shoot maybe even a poke at elk, if she had the right bullet; say maybe a 220 grain HotCor.
