Well I finally got around to shooting some reloads that I loaded up a while back. I actually loaded them with IMR4350 because I couldn't find Varget at the time....I might stick with 4350.

Rifle is a TC Icon Weathersheild in .243 with a 24in bbl. Loaded up 4 charges of 4350 at 45, 45.5, 46, 46.5 grains pushing a 70gr Nosler BT for coyotes and sod poodles. The wind was less than ideal, but I had to get out when I could. Wind was variable from about 8-15mph from left to right. All shots fired with a rear bag off of a bipod.

The rifle seemed to get more accurate the harder it's pushed. So I'm going to work it up from there. Here are some pics

Good show, Mike; and congratulations. The medium burn powders (and slow burn powders) do seem to yield tighter groups the harder you push them.

Good deal. I'm smiling at your "First time shooting reloads..." I don't remember a time when we didn't handload most of our ammo. 50 years of handloading now, ever since I was a kid.

Looks like you got good results! Congrats.

Hooked yet?

Ha I was thinking the same thing FOTIS.

And we have now pulled one more to the dark side!

Looking good Mike!

His ride hasn't even started yet! Wait till he starts pressing some 140 BT's into that 264 Win Mag. Now that makes me smile!

Looks good. There's no turning back now. It will become an obsession all of its own, its just a plus to shoot them.

Reel him in slow and let him run the line and he'll be landed proper.
Welcome to the dark side mate.

Mike, if you get your speed where you want it and the groups look similar to these, you will need to fiddle (technical term) with the AOL.. I had to do that with my 308, it shot very similar groups to yours with 3 different bullets and powders, but adjusting the AOL brought it down to consistently under 1/2 inch. Great shooting, you will love the reloading.
