I have been using your 8mm 180gr BT in my Rem Classic 8x57mm and with good results on paper.I'am thinking for my intended use" Whitetails" that it would be a better choice over the Partition and the recent AccuBond,in this caliber. I would like to know Nosler's thoughts on these questions.

Which Nosler Bullet for Whitetails in the 8x57mm?
How would the Parttion and AccuBond likely work at 8x57mm velocity's?

Sure hope you come out with some lighter Partitions and AccuBond in the .323/8mm dia.

Tiny; I will speak for Nosler on this one. First, the Nosler 180 Ballistic Tip has a fairly heavy jacket, and will work well in the 8x57 even on somewhat larger game. Second, the 200 Partition and AccuBond will indeed expand reliably at 8x57 velocities. I have a 700 Classic also. What velocities are you seeing with the 180's? With the 200's? I have a load that gives me 2720 with the 180 BT, and another that makes 2650 with the 200P. Both are with Norma 204 Powder. I like my 8x57, and am taking it Black Bear hunting this spring. I will use the 180 Ballistic Tip to see how it works. It shoots under 1" in my rifle, the 200P is about 1¼". Regards, Eagleye.

Eagleeye,

Thanks for the infomation.

I haven't shot either the Partition or AccuBond yet in mine, just thinking about doing so.
The 180gr BT has been the most consistant in mine at 1" or less depending on me.
I haven't ran anything across the chorny yet with it,and the only powder I've used with it to date has been IMR 4064.The chrony is coming next.

I took mine after Whitetails last season but they didn't want to play target.

Eagleye is right on the money, the 180 will be the best choice for deer.
The BT & AB both need an impact velocity of 1600 FPS for reliable expansion, the Partition needs 1800 FPS.
Have a happy huntin season
