Got a great deal so I bought her. 30-06. I heard nothing but great things about this Savage-like clone.
Anyway since I sold all my bees scopes etc to build my dream gun I figured this would make a perfect b/up and throw away hunting arm :lol: .

Congratulations on the 30-06. Is that a Stevens rifle with the Accu-trigger? You really cannot go wrong with a 30-06. It is one of the best out there bar none! Makes it hard to find a reason to get another caliber, unless it's for large African game or Kodiak bears, if you have a 30-06 in your gun case!!! :lol:

Nice find POP; I bought two last year for Christmas presents for brothers and was amazed at their out of the box accuracy. Both rifles purchased were .270's, but they all should shoot the same with the way they are put together.

Also, with the 180ET, 52.5gn of H4350 gave a smidge (real word???) larger group.

If I remember correctly, that COL is about .025 - .035 from the lands.
