First I would like to thank Scotty for this enlightenment on M70's. Now that my Gunbroker is full of them I kinda got a wish list started. I want/need to pick up a few more rifles starting with a SC 257 featherweight, a 6.5-55 Mauser featherweight, I've seen a few floating around, and a SS 7mm-08 just for the heck of it. Then maybe one or two SS 270s for future builds.

Need to find a donor for the 35 Whelen project most likely a Remington 700 SPS and after that when funds allow a 223 Rem. Those will be enough for quite a while.

I need nothing but it's not a question of need, now is it?

I want a nice single-stack, full-size 1911 (in .45 ACP, of course!), a Colt Woodsman "Sport" model second series with the 4-1/2" barrel, and I'd like to get my hands on a Ruger flat-top 4-5/8" in .357 Mag. I'd like a good 10mm Auto in my safe. There's a nagging voice in my head that says I need---no, WANT a .300 Whelen also, and I think it would have to be a custom 98 or a 70 Classic.

One of the benchresters at my club is trying to convince me to get into benchrest. I'd have to sell off three or four of my sporters to do that and I am balking. I know that game can get expensive real fast, so I am just trying to experience it vicariously for now. If I win the lottery, I'm in for a Stiller-action bench gun in .30 BR and all the multitude of gadgets and tools needed. And a ton of components!

I'm kicking around building an 8X68S on a Model 70 action. I've seriously considered selling my CDL chambered in 257 Roberts and picking up one of the newer Winchesters chambered in the same thing. I plan to pick up a Kimber Model 1911 sometime this year.

RiverRider - given your "wants" you should talk to my Dad. However I'm not giving you his phone or e-mail address...

Colt Woodsman - check
.357 Blackhawk - check
.30-06 custom on a Springfield - check

The old man seems pretty intent on hanging onto those.

We are looking at an Allen Martin Flintlock. A friend of ours from a different forum just ordered one and we are thinking about doing the same.

I would like a M71 348 Win. Nothing else is really in the hopper. I'm sure others might come around, but I'm not burning to have much else.

A guy I know bought a friends collection from him with all sorts of neat guns in there including 3 348 Winchesters, two are mint condition Brownings and one is well used I assume this one would be a Winchester. They are nice guns for sure, he has a nice Browning 1886 lever gun as well.

Remington:
2 .280 Mountain Rifles (well, actually the barreled actions will be fine) for a couple of Mickey stocks I already have
1 standard LA XCR II for another McMillan I have... '06, .280 or .25-06
a couple of HB rifles... maybe .223, .22-250, 7-08 or .308
a couple three of mid-'80s to mid-'90s 870s... 28, 20, 12 ga.

Winchester:
.22-250 FWT
.257 Bob FWT
.25-06 Sporter
.264 WM Sporter
7 WSM EW
.338 WM in something... EW, Sporter, Alaskan
.375 H&H Safari Express
.416 RM Safari Express

Ruger:
Alaskan Laminate in .375 Ruger
multiple 1Bs

Beretta:
391 Urika in 20 and 12, 30" barrels
391 Extrema 12/3.5, 28" barrel
I would love to find a 626 Onyx, 20 or 12, with 28" barrels, but they are a little hard to come by

Caesar Guerini:
Summit Limited Sporting 28ga/32"
Tiempo Light, 20ga.28", should I decide to start chasing chukkars
Magnus 12ga/30"

Glocks:
20, 10mm
22, 23, 27, and 35, 40S&W
31, .357 SIG

Kimber:
Stainless Target II in .38 Super and 10mm
Ultra or Pro Crimson Carry .45 ACP
Montana 84M in .223, .243, and 7-08
Montana 84L in .280 AI
And a Whelen if they ever offer it.

disclaimer: this is subject to change without notice, and does not include stuff I would like to piece together

Man- THREE of them. Sometimes life is just not fair!

Kurt, wow- now that is a shopping list! I like the Winchester heaviness though. Seems as if something has gotten to ya. That 7WSM in an EW would be an awesome rifle!

No Guy! I want a .300 Whelen!!

But really, you oughta give me his phone number. I just wanna chat.

A very simple small little request(s). Okay it grew before I could send this.

A .280 Remington to replace the one I sold. It was one of the Remington Mountain Rifles when Remington was still making them the way they should be.

I would not mind getting my son a CZ .22 LR bolt action rifle.

Well I am going to grab a new Model 70 JOC when they become available but will probably never shoot it . That is a cool looking gun and would be fun to own one and see what it does as an investment. Even if that turns out to be not much; it would probably equally be as good a a CD at 1% and then paying the US Govt the income tax on that .
I am still toying with building up an 1899 Savage in .338 Federal; to use for a woods gun, but have not really decided if I will launch into all that or not. I have a pistol griped 1894 Deluxe I should finish up first! 8)

Kurt,

Let me know if you need any help breaking in barrels.

I need to fill a couple voids in my rifle battery.
