I figure
270 Speer GD
265 Hornady
300 gr Sierra and
300 grain cast.
It will be interesting since it is a 1:38 twist older type 444.
H4198, H322 and H335 ought to get me there.....

You have some excellent options in projectiles. I do concur with your choices on propellants.

That's a beauty Fotis. I am running RL7 in mine, as that is what I am using with the 45-70 as well, but your choices, especially H335 looks dang good from what I see of others.

You just gotta try that 250 Sierra FPJ buddy.. It is an amazing bullet in the 444 Marlin from what I have seen. Accuracy and man, it'll hang together like a super premium.

It is actually tougher in my testing than the 265 Hornady, and everybody touts that as a tough bullet.

I have a bunch of the Gold Dot's or Uni Cor's or whatever they are called as well. Just can't beat the price of the 250's though. They are a sleeper of a bullet.

Can't wait to see your results though Fotis. I dig the 444 Marlin. Hope to get it some field time this Fall.

Doc thank you.

Scott I am just concerned with 150 yard shots. I do not want it to act as a FMJ..... Up close it looks great.

I think you could push that bullet a little faster than me, you'll be fine. The 444 is capable of winging them into the 2400 range pretty easily, I am only running about 2000 at the muzzle.

I made up that load for Lori, for a cream puff load for her to shoot on bears. Plus, it does have a pretty decent flat nose.

Be a good excuse for you to put them into jugs for us at 100-150 yards too!

You can go higher, that is just a really accurate load for my gun which also happens to be a Marlin 444SS.
