Did my final load tweaking of my 210gr Nosler Partition in my 338Win Mag today so I could use it on the gas line tomorrow. I cleaned the barrel and fired some fouling rounds using the 215gr Sierra SBT which did not shoot in my rifle as good as the 210gr Partition did which is a first for me and accuracy between the two bullets.
Now what is interesting is that all the load work I did this summer and into this fall were done with Ruger M77 rifles in 30-06, 358Win, 338Win Mag and 22-250 (which I tweaked for my grandson today using 55gr TBBC at 3624fps and it shot .789"). Now that said, none of these rifles had any work done to them except the duck tape in the stock of the 30-06 to lift the barrel and free float it and you all know the accuracy I have gotten out of these Rugers. I think it speaks well of them to say the least.
Here is the first group that was the 4th, 5th, and 6th round fired after cleaning my rifle. It measured .852"
Here is the second group that was the 7th, 8th, and 9th round fired after cleaning my rifle. It measured .489"
Here is the chrony for the 22-250 with the 55gr TBBC
HAPPY THANKSGIVING GUYS!!!
