Well....
I was supposed to be headed for the Western Slope to go coyote hunting this weekend, but my Kiddo caught the crud - fever etc so I'm grounded.
I loaded a few rounds for the .257 Bee & .270wsm and headed for my buddies property this morning. The Bee I just got back from the Smith having the trigger re-sprung & polished. I mounted a 6 x 18 VX-II Leupy on it with LRVD reticle.
Rounds to test would include where I left off with IMR 7828 & 115 VLD's
Thought the 100gr B-tip sounded good for yotes, so loaded 5 with Viht N-560.
The .270wsm is new to me and I'm still playing with it - well... now done
Tried both the 140gr A-bond and 130gr VLD's over some Viht N-165
The .257 Bee is box stock short of the trigger in a Rem 700 SPS model.
The 115 VLD's average right at an inch @ 100yds. The 100gr B-tips supprised the heck out of me. Took five shots without much wait time between shots - The first three touching then it walked up. The wind was blowing, so I didn't set my chrony up, but can imagine those little 100grainers behind a fairly stiff charge of N560 - their scootin
Will have to see if I can find some load data for the 115grainers and N560.
( JD - this one is quickly approaching one of my favorite rounds and will cause grief with me if I had to choose between the .257 & .260 for a hunting trip  )
The .270wsm is a Weatherby Vanguard SUB MOA -
The 140gr A-bonds shot slightly over an inch - ( think a trigger job would do this one some good )
The 130gr VLD's however - nice clover-leaf. Paper doesn't look that impressive since it wasn't directly back up on the cardboard and tore the paper high and right to make it look larger.
