My fiance and I took a drive this evening to see if we could see the grizzly that has been spotted up where we deer hunt a few miles out of town. No bear was seen so we drove up the Teton Canyon a couple miles and spotted this lovely couple. From what we could figure, the blonde one is a sow and the dark one is a boar. Some of the pics are blurry but I was trying to take them through my spotting scope. They were about 1/2 mile away when I first started takin pictures. Coincidentally, they were right where we saw a huge boar last summer working right where the boar is in the first pic. Ill be working right there in a couple weeks again also.

Cool, I'ts definitely the bear rut right now :) Hopefully you guys can get a grizzly season soon again.

Wow, that looks like a very good boar! Man, what a hog. Awesome pictures DT! Man, what a hunt of a lifetime to be able to try and hunt the big Griz! Great pictures buddy. You did well through the scope.. Thank you for sharing them.

Excellent pictures, DT. It is always gratifying to see grizzlies. I'd definitely concur that it is a sow and boar as the rut is on at the present.

MAN! What I wouldn't do to have bears just strolling around in my pivots! You are truely blessed to be living in country like that. That is really cool!

Very cool photos!

How 'bout another one of those "Take the shot?" discussions?

Bear in the open. Range? What with? Shot placement? Assuming it's legal, which of course it isn't...

Those are great photos. I would have been quite the experience to have the opportunity to get those photos.
Thank you for sharing

Blessings,
Dan

Thanks guys. Ive already seen 3 grizzlies this summer and from the looks of things, Ill pass my record of seeing 9 grizzlies last summer! Ill try to get some video next time we go out if/when we see more bears.

DT,

Those are some great pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us.

My buddy came in this evening to do some fishing this weekend and he is from Iowa and wanted to see a bear after seeing my pictures. So we drove out and we turned off the highway and hadnt even gone 200 yards down the dirt road and saw 3 yearling/2 year old Grizzlies together. they ran off in the brush and we didnt see them real well so we drove up past were we saw the two big ones. Didnt see any bears up there but lots of whitetail bucks with tons of potential and lots of cow elk. Then we came back down to see if we could see the griz again and they were out in the wheat field feeding this time. This is the same field we deer hunt in during the fall. Anyways, here are some bad pics. I was takin them through the spotting scope again but it was gettin dark so my camera wouldnt focus real good.

These are the 6th grizzlies Ive seen this summer and Ive seen them all since last sunday. So 6 griz in 5 days. Yearlings/2 year olds are the dangerous ones too.

There is an exhilaration in witnessing grizzlies in the wild. Even with fuzzy pictures, there is no mistaking what you are looking at.

The first time we saw them this evening, they were in the bushes only 10 yards off the road, so we got a pretty good look at them while it was good day light. Didnt have time with the camera that time though

Cool pics DT! That is really something.. What a place to live surrounded by them big SOB's! They look well fed!
