Guys, here is my Guide rifle with the Wild West Guns Lever and Happy Trigger. Took about 1 hour to install and it should last a lifetime. Trigger is EXCELLENT. If you don't have one in your Marlin, think about it, it is like getting a 1st class trigger job and man, it has an excellent pull to it.

The lever fit with no issues, and seems a little tight needing some working time, but I imagine once it smooths out, it will be excellent. It is good now, just not as slick as the factory lever was, but then again, I have a few rounds through the rifle. This really takes hardly any skill at all and can by anyone that can read instructions and look at pictures. Scotty

Sorry for the crappy pictures, but I took them with my phone. I will get better ones later. Scotty

Scotty, I've never owned a lever gun so pardon my ignorance.
Why do you want/need the big lever?

That looks great.
No more smashed fingers.

I may have to bring a few lever guns down to VA to get some smithing done at the Beretzs household. Looks good from up here.

Glad you like the new setup. I knew that after shooting my rifle, it was only a matter of time before you upgraded your 45-70. :p

Scotty, Brian

I am going to lay in a supply of pillars, happy triggers, and glas so that when you come here, at night when we are not elk hunting and I am sleeping, you guys can overhaul my rifles. Sound good to you?

Now, that sounds like a plan! Good thinking, Bill. Best of luck in your hunt.

I will make sure Scotty gets on that when we get into camp Bill!

...looks good, but you might want to be a little circumspect bragging about yer "Happy Trigger" in "polite company"...

Randy, the lever on my Marlin is really small. It barely allows my three fingers to go through the loop ungloved. With gloves on, forget about it. Plus, with heavy recoiling loads, my right hand ring finger gets smashed alot. It is not enjoyable, I have to wrap my hand around the outside of the lever and that was not conducive to me for really good shooting.

2nd'ly Randy, if you don't have a Guide Rifle, don't get one. You will find yourself not wanting to shoot your other rifles. They are accurate, powerful and just plain fun to shoot and REALLY fun to load for. Just the most versatile round I have came across. Easy to load plinkers and just as easy to load African Game kinda loads...

Bill, if you get the Happy Trigger, I would be more than "happy" to swap it out for you. It is so easy a Marine can do it!

Gene, I will watch it around you buddy! I can see we have another prankster amongst our ranks. Scotty

Better lay in lots of strong coffee, too.

Good old Navy coffee! Always good for the mornings and then it can be used to get the paint off the old ships bulkheads! Scotty

I was just thinking he could get more work out of you if he fed you enough strong coffee, as Tom Clancy puts it, to "hyper activate a statue"!

That looks sharp! Glad the trigger worked out.

Funny, your bench looks as clean as mine
