I've been trying to work up a load my 22-250 with a 55gr Sierra HPBT Gameking and had no luck with Varget and H380, I looked in the Sierra manual and saw they had 3 loads with H4350 listed and tried a 38gr charge and it printed a 5 shot 1/4 group at 100 yards. I'm going to try it again too see if it does the same thing?

I used a 38gr charge with the bullet seated at the max c.o.a.l with a CCI LR primer. Anyone else use this powder in your 22-250?

That was the only other powder I had on hand to use that the manual listed and no one was more surprised than me at the performance it showed. I'm going out to the range Sunday to try it again too see what it does and will report back on what happens.

I don't load for the .22-250 very often, but there's a reason I buy H4350 in eight pound containers. It gets used a lot here... I've got several rifles that rely on H4350 - which really isn't all that surprising. Back in the 1970's I was using IMR 4350 a lot, in several different rifles.

Right now I use it in several cartridges from the little 6mm Remington, up to the .375 H&H.
