Nosler manual calls for 58.5 to 62.5 grains. Velocity listed is 2946 for the 60.5 and density volume is shown as 96%. My remington cases will hold exactly 120 grains, filled full. This is a long way from 96%. Would you anticipate any problems with the cases filled to a tad over 50%. How can the Nosler #6 manual be off that much in density volume or case capacity???

...something ain't quite right, there's not enough space (volume) in a 7mm RSAUM to fit 120grs. of water...

Nosler's "96%" is not based on the capacity of a case filled to the top of the neck. Did you ever notice loads that were listed as 105% of capacity?
I would imagine that their calculation is based on the capacity of the case when the bullet is seated to the indicated OAL.

I quit when I noticed what I described above. Good lesson on caution here. When I realized something was amiss I quit. I just went back and checked my scales.  They were set on 35 grains (2 marks beyond 25 instead of 2 marks beyond 50) instead of 60.  Double loading the case had given me 70 grains instead of 120. The 70 grains should be about 96% capacity as called for in the Nosler manual. Will finish loading them tomorrow. Thanks for your input. Luckily I operate with extreme caution.

BUT, what do you speculate the outcome would have been if the 35 grain load had been loaded and fired?
