Well, I did not see a bear worth taking. Saw a 120 pound class bear but to little to take. Here are some pictures of my friends and their bears and a picture of me at the end of the hunt. We had a ball camping out and glassing for bear as we were hunting some really tough country. No baiting in Arizona for bear, it was spot and stalk and I went down to holes in my belt during the last 12 days.

It looks as if your friends found some decent representatives of the bruin tribe. Congratulations to them. I do know what you mean about passing on bears. I have passed on several bears that would have been easy shots this fall. However, I may have to take one shortly as I have a request for some bear fat for a lady who uses it to make saddle soap. Plus, some bear ribs and some ground bear in the freezer for this winter wouldn't hurt my feelings any at all. Mike, it looks as if you had a good trip, nevertheless.

Yes, we had a great time. I will go back in November and take my grandson for a four day hunt on bear and I will let him use my new M48 TGR 7mm08 and I will back him up with my 358Win . :)

Great pictures Mike! Looks like you had a great time out there. Very nice bear by your buddy! Well done! Scotty

Mike,

Looks like you had a fun time at bear camp.

Yes I did and I can't wait to take Jordan my grandson there in November, it will be his first trip out there and I will have that 7mm08 dialed in for him and that will be an exciting time also.

Darn Mike,
Just the country along would be enough to call it a great trip. The bears is gravy.

THats country I never knew existed in Arizona. I always picture it as desert. Nice looking bears though. Thanks for sharing.

My pleasure :)

Congrats on enjoying a good, tough hunt with your friends!

Arizona has some seriously tough terrain, and quite a variety of wildlife.

Sounds like a very good time, along with getting some game. I was kind of unsure about the part where you were climbing into holes however. I am assuming that those might have been bear dens, not necesarly the best activity for insurance purposes. Thanks for sharing !!!

Not bear holes or dens but I lost some weight and went two notches on my belt. :):):)
